Louisville and Nashville 4-6-2 #152 is one of the oldest (1905) operating Pacific type steam locomotives in the United States, and is currently run at the Kentucky Railway Museum in New Haven, Kentucky. However back in the late 1980s 152 was a mainline excursion engine in Kentucky. 1988 footage has been re-edited in 2008 and converted to DVD, with exciting
steam action including some special runs that highlighted 152 like no other trips during its mainline excursion tours. More Details Here

Pere Marquette 2-8-4 number 1225 operates on several freight specials that are
the first-ever photo trains for this Lima-built Berkshire type steam locomotive.
Several 1940 and 1950's period freight cars are used, plus the engine is put back
to the steam-era appearance as we enjoy clear sunny weather and have two camera

modifications into a C&O 2-8-4 as both Lima-built locomotive types were
similar. You'll see a round-trip to Russell, Kentucky from Cincinnati,
including a Cab ride at 60 MPH, and enjoy some runs along the New River in

begin with historic film footage of 4501 as engine 12 on the Kentucky and
Tennessee Railroad in the early 1960s. 1991 coverage includes several

owner Ohio Central in the fall
of 2001. This video features two of the test runs in September, and 3 fall
