This DVD combines two scenic programs shot in Western Canada during 1996. We have combined "Scenic Trains of Canada" and "Scenic Trains of BC Rail" into one great DVD and you get one video free essentially compared to the VHS price.

Featured in this nice program is the last season of former CPR FP7 and CNR FP9's in service as VIA Rail power for the passenger trains of Western Canada. Canadian Steam 1957

Turn back the clock to 1957 when steam still ran on Canadian Pacific and Canadian National in Western Canada. You'll see a variety of both CN and CP locomotives in the Vancouver area, and venture into the prairies for more action. Highlights include the CN around Kamloops including pacing scenes west with a 2-8-2 and another with a 2-10-2. This 1958 journey to the Canadian Prairies features a wealth of Canadian Pacific, and Canadian National variety. You'll see mixed trains, freights, and passenger trains, all steam hauled on mainlines and branchlines. You'll visit places like Broadview, Virden, Portage la Prairie, Winnipeg, the Morris Branch, Minnedosa and many others. Canadian Steam 1959

The end is near for Canadian National and Canadian Pacific Steam in Canada, as photographer Maynard Laing and friends head to the prairies to see the action. Tons of great steam abounds with much of the action around Winnipeg and especially the Portage la Prairie area where the CN and CP cross at a diamond, and run through the town a block apart. Scenic Trains Of Canada

This video comprises scenes with freight trains and passenger trains on Canadian Pacific, Canadian National, Via Rail, and the British Columbia Railway.
