This Telly Award-winning video is an outstanding cross country journey
aboard Amtrak from Washington, D.C. to San Francisco, California. Aboard the
Capitol Limited we travel to Chicago, then continue westward on the
California Zephyr. The scenery is ever changing, and most magnificent
through the Colorado Rockies as we see views from on the train, inside the
Cab, and trackside through this area. In
addition to the Amtrak ride, you will visit 12 different side-trips with
steam and diesel excursion trains. More Details Here

The West Coast Route continues the tradition of the "America By Rail" series
as we travel from San Diego, California on an incredibly scenic journey to
Seattle, Washington. This 1600 mile journey begins at the Mexican Border as
we ride the San Diego Trolley into the City. There we board one of the
Amtrak trains to Los Angeles along the Surf line as we skirt the Pacific
Ocean for much of the Journey. Then we
ride the famous Coast Starlight to Seattle. Several side-trips are included
as well. More Details Here

This video is quite unique since the journey was aboard Amtrak's Cardinal
after a very heavy snowfall. The journey picks up at first light east of
Maysville, Kentucky, and concludes with the stop in Clifton Forge, West
Virginia, after traveling along the Ohio River, and later the famous New
River Gorge. It's a rare treat to be onboard during the winter and on a
crystal clear day. Since no side-trips could be seen during the winter,
we have included many scenes of mainline steam excursions in West Virginia
from previous years. More Details Here

The 4th and final tape in the series is by no means the least dramatic.
Travel 2300 miles over the famous former Santa Fe Railroad from Chicago to
Los Angeles on the Southwest Chief. The scenery is diverse, as you enjoy the
ride and more great music for the Amtrak portion. In addition there are
several side-trips
to interesting tourist railroads, and an aerial view of the famous Grand
Canyon. More Details Here
